A Tough Battle at T-Mobile Park

The Mariners faced off against the Blue Jays at T-Mobile Park, and boy, what a nail-biter it was! Unfortunately, it ended in a 5-4 loss for our beloved Seattle Mariners. Let's dive into the highlights (and lowlights) of the game. ⚾

Early Inning Struggles

We started off slow with J.P. Crawford, Josh Rojas, and Cal Raleigh all going down without much of a fight in the first inning. Same story in the second and third innings as our bats were silent. Meanwhile, the Blue Jays were also having a hard time, thanks to some solid pitching and defense.

Blue Jays Take the Lead

The Blue Jays finally broke the deadlock in the 4th inning. Alejandro Kirk doubled to left field, bringing in Daulton Varsho for the first run of the game. A few more hits and some smart base-running had them sitting pretty with a 1-0 lead.

Mid-Game Troubles Continue

The 5th inning saw the Blue Jays extend their lead to 2-0 when Vladimir Guerrero Jr. singled in George Springer. Our boys managed to get runners on base, but a rally never materialized.

More Runs for Toronto

In the 7th and 8th innings, the Blue Jays added three more runs to their tally, thanks to a sacrifice fly by Guerrero Jr. and an error by Crawford. By the middle of the 8th inning, the score was 5-0, and it looked grim for our Mariners.

Mitch Haniger Sparks a Rally

Hope was revived in the bottom of the 8th with Mitch Garver and Dominic Canzone both singling to set the stage. Mitch Haniger then launched a towering homer to left center, slicing the deficit to just two runs! What a shot! 🧨

The Final Push

Heading into the 9th inning, it was 5-3. A solo homer by Luke Raley in the bottom of the inning got us within one run, and the excitement was palpable! But sadly, the next batters couldn't keep the momentum going, and we fell just short. 😔

Final Thoughts

While it was a tough loss to swallow, there were some bright spots, like Haniger's big homer and Raley's clutch solo shot. Let's keep showing our support and look forward to the next game. Let's go Mariners! 🌟
