Exciting Start for the Blue Jays

Hey, Blue Jays fans! What a way to start the series against the Seattle Mariners. Our boys came out swinging right from the top of the first inning. First up, Bo Bichette showed patience at the plate and drew a walk. Then, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. followed suit with another walk, setting the stage for an exciting inning. Although Daulton Varsho took a seat after striking out, our man George Springer managed to load the bases with an infield single. Addison Barger, showing off his batting prowess, doubled down the right field line, allowing Bichette and Guerrero to score and put us on the board with a 2-0 lead! Not a bad start. ✨

Middle Innings Surge

Fast forward to the top of the third inning, with the Jays leading 2-0. Addison Barger hit a double to center field, and thanks to a single by Ernie Clement, Barger crossed home plate, extending our lead to 3-0. But the real highlight was Nathan Lukes! He belted a two-run homer to right center, further cementing our position with a dominating 5-0 lead. What a shot to witness! 💥

Sealing the Deal

The Mariners tried to mount a comeback, bringing the score to 5-3 by the end of the sixth inning. But in the ninth, Tyler Heineman led off with a single. Then, Bo Bichette walked, and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hit a single, loading the bases. Daulton Varsho then stepped up and delivered a crucial sacrifice fly to left, giving Heineman the run and push our lead to 6-3. Jeff Hoffman came in during the bottom of the ninth, effectively shutting down Seattle’s final efforts to secure our 6-3 victory. Way to go, boys! 😎🎉

Let's keep this momentum going, Blue Jays! On to the next! 🔵⚾🍁
