A Rough Day in Seattle
Our beloved Toronto Blue Jays found themselves on the wrong side of the scorecard, falling 6-2 to the Seattle Mariners. The game started promisingly, with Vladimir Guerrero Jr. doubling in the first inning, though unfortunately, we couldn't capitalize.Middle-Innings Turnaround
After Eugenio Suárez launched a homer in the 2nd inning, the Jays fought back with Barger scoring in the 5th off a George Springer double. Then Alejandro Kirk doubled in the 6th, and a Clement single finally put us ahead, 2-1. This lead had our hopes high!A Heartbreaking 8th Inning
However, the 8th inning was a momentum shifter against us. Cal Raleigh tied the game with a homer, followed by a grand slam by Suárez that nearly had us in tears, pulling the Mariners comfortably ahead 6-2. Despite our junior Jays' efforts, the 9th inning didn't see the comeback we hoped for.Our boys put up a valiant fight, but it just wasn’t our day. We'll dust ourselves off and come back stronger! Let’s keep the faith, Jays fans!
