Sluggish Start, But Pitching Shines Early On
Both teams struggled to get things going offensively in the early innings, with neither side able to score in the first three innings. Our pitching staff kept things tight, with standout defensive plays. Dylan Carlson and Brandon Lowe both struck out swinging in the bottom of the 1st, but Junior Caminero managed to double to center, giving us a spark of hope.
Blue Jays Take the Lead
The Blue Jays got on the scoreboard first in the 4th inning. Ernie Clement singled, and a sacrificial fly from Leo Jimenez brought him home. Our Rays struggled to get hits off the Blue Jays' pitcher, keeping us scoreless until the 6th inning.
Rays’ Comeback
In the bottom of the 6th inning, the Rays turned up the heat! Jonathan Aranda homered to right-center, bringing in Brandon Lowe to take the lead 2-1! This clutch homer was a turning point in the game and brought life back into our team.

The Blue Jays tied it up in the 7th inning with Clement singling to left and scoring Tyler Heineman. But we quickly responded! Yandy Díaz, pinch-hitting for Josh Lowe, doubled to left, and Jose Siri came in as a pinch runner, eventually scoring on a sacrifice fly by Christopher Morel. We were back on top 3-2!

In the bottom of the 8th, Brandon Lowe delivered again with a solo homer to right-center, extending our lead to 4-2! This insurance run would prove crucial.
In the top of the 9th inning, the Blue Jays made it tense. Alejandro Kirk walked and Clement doubled to center, putting runners on second and third. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. singled to center, scoring Kirk and narrowing our lead to 4-3. But our bullpen held strong as Edwin Uceta got the crucial outs to secure the victory.
