Nationals Edge Rockies in Thrilling 12-11 Victory
What a nail-biter of a game, Nats fans!
Crews Leads the Charge
Our bats were on fire today, especially thanks to Dylan Crews who had a colossal game! His two home runs and a double were key in building our aggressive offensive lead. James Wood and Josh Bell also showcased their power with crucial homers; Wood's three-run homer in the 4th was particularly spectacular, soaring 426 feet.
Rockies' Late Push Tested Nats' Resolve
Despite a commanding 12-2 lead by the middle of the 7th inning, the Rockies made a fierce comeback attempt, cutting the lead down to just one run. A grand triple by Bouchard and another by Beck kept the Rockies in striking distance. Luckily, our bullpen, with the likes of Kyle Finnegan coming through, shut the door on any further runs, sealing the victory with style.
Takeaways for the Nats
Tonight was all about offense and resilience. We saw how powerful our lineup can be when everything clicks, and even when faced with an intense comeback threat, our squad didn't falter. Huge props to our pitching staff for managing to keep their composure under pressure in the high-altitude environment of Coors Field. This win is a testament to our team's fight and spirit! Let's keep this momentum going, Nationals fans!
Next stop: continuing our push for more wins and an exciting season ahead! Go Nats!
