Tough Loss for the Nats in Denver
Well, Nationals fans, it was a tough night in Denver as we fell to the Rockies 3-1. Despite having a solid start, we just couldn't keep our momentum going through the game. A Promising Start
️
Things started off well for us in the top of the 1st when James Wood secured a walk and Nathaniel Lowe brought him home with a single, putting us ahead 1-0 early on. Unfortunately, our bats fell silent after that, with Josh Bell and Dylan Crews unable to capitalize further.Loss of Advantage in the 4th Inning
The Rockies fought back in the bottom of the 4th inning. Despite starting strong, a triple by Mickey Moniak drove in two runs, pushing Colorado ahead 2-1. Our pitching staff tried their best to minimize the damage, but it wasn't the momentum shift we needed.Chances Squandered in the Final Innings
Though Nasim Nuñez managed a walk in the 7th and stole second, and Crews got on base in the 9th, finishing on second from a stolen base, our hitters just couldn't get that crucial extra hit to bring any more runs in. By the time Jacob Young (pinch-hit by Alex Call in the 9th) and Nuñez struck out, it was clear the Rockies' defense wasn't budging.Looking Forward
A big shoutout to Lowe, who went 2-for-4 today and gave us the early lead! We’ll shake this one off and regroup for the next game. Stay hopeful, Nats fans – it's a long season, and we've got plenty of baseball ahead to turn things around! Let’s go, Nats!
