Heartbreak in Houston
The Washington Nationals gave it their all tonight, but the Houston Astros ultimately came out on top with a 7-4 victory. From the very first pitch, our boys fought hard, showing flashes of brilliance and giving us moments to cheer for. Let's dive into the action and relive some of those key moments.
Bright Spots for the Nats
CJ Abrams was a dynamo on the bases, singling to start the game and showing impressive speed with multiple steals. His efforts paid off in the top of the third inning when, after a walk, Luis García Jr. crushed a two-run homer (370 feet!), finally putting us on the scoreboard and in the lead 2-1.

Challenges on the Mound
Unfortunately, the Astros lineup proved too relentless, responding quickly to each of our advances. Yainer Diaz contributed significantly to Houston's efforts, including a crucial solo homer in the bottom of the fourth that evened the score. We saw strong pitching in moments, but the Houston bats were hot, particularly in the sixth inning when they posted three runs and extended their lead to 6-2.
Looking Forward
Despite the loss, the resilience and skill displayed by the Nationals offered us promising signs for the future. Our lineup had some exciting at-bats, and though we came up short today, the next game is another opportunity to shine. Keep your heads high, Nats fans, because our time will come!

Thanks for reading this recap, and as always, Let's Go Nats!
