A Heartbreaking Seventh Inning
As a dedicated Washington Nationals fan, watching last night's game against the Los Angeles Angels was a roller coaster of emotions. We kicked things off strong, holding the Angels scoreless through the first few innings. When CJ Abrams smashed a homer in the top of the 5th to tie the game 1-1, the excitement was palpable! The Trout Factor
Unfortunately, it didn’t take long for the Angels to retaliate in dramatic fashion. Mike Trout, an undeniable force, leveled the score with a solo home run that started a disastrous series of events for us in the bottom of the 7th. The pitching change didn’t work in our favor, as Kevin Newman hammered a clutch three-run homer that put the game out of reach.A Fight To The End
Despite entering the final inning trailing by six runs, our boys didn't give up. It was great seeing Daylen Lile and Josh Bell put up a fight and display some solid hits. Even as the game wound down, I couldn’t help but savor Abrams and Lile ensuring the Angels worked for every out. Sadly, it just wasn’t enough today as the game closed with an 8-2 loss. There's always another battle to be fought, and we'll come back stronger! Go Nats!Scoreboard for Nationals @ Angels (June 29th, 2025)
