Momentum Surge from the Nationals
The 4th inning was electrifying as Luis García Jr. smashed a homer to right-center, giving us a 2-0 lead that set the tone for the game. And let's not forget the clutch 5th inning where CJ Abrams knocked a double to right, allowing three runners to score. That hit was a game-changer and brought our lead to 5-0.
Twins Get on the Board, But Nationals Seal the Deal
Though the Twins managed to score in the 6th and 8th innings, with Royce Lewis and Ty France leading the charge, our Nationals kept their cool. Alex Call added to his stellar night by hitting a homer in the 7th, and the 8th inning saw our team stretch the lead to make it 9-2, courtesy of a wild pitch and strategic plays, including another run batted in by Josh Bell.Shutting the Door on the Twins
In the end, they could only muster one more run. Big shoutout to our pitchers like Rutledge and Chafin for keeping it cool under pressure and securing this impressive win.
Overall, it was a great night for the Nationals, demonstrating patience at the plate and taking advantage of Twins' misplays. Let's keep this winning momentum going! Go Nats!
