Our pitchers were lights out from the get-go. David Peterson had an outstanding start, with the bullpen, including Joe Maton, Jeffrey Young, and Adam Ottavino, stepping up big time. They kept the Nationals scoreless, stranding runners, and striking out batters in crucial moments.Key Offensive Highlights 
The game took a turn in the bottom of the 5th inning. Luís Torrens led off with a double, setting the stage for a massive inning. After a walk by Jeff McNeil and Francisco Lindor, Brandon Nimmo cracked a double to center, clearing the bases. Moments later, J.D. Martinez and Pete Alonso added to the tally with a single and another hit, respectively. By the end of the inning, we posted five runs!In the 8th inning, our bats didn't cool down. Mark Vientos and Harrison Bader added two more insurance runs, bringing the score to a convincing 7-0.
