First Inning Fireworks

Hey Phillies fans! 🤗 What a thrilling game we had against the Nationals! It all started in the first inning with Trea Turner getting on base with a single, paving the way for Kyle Schwarber to do what he does best – launching a massive home run to left center! 🎉 That 389-foot homer brought Turner home and gave us an early 2-0 lead. What a fantastic start! ⚾

Phillies Extend the Lead

In the third inning, Johan Rojas decided it was his turn to join the home run fun, blasting one 421 feet to center field! 🌟 That solo shot added another run to our total. Turner continued to shine, hitting his second single of the game. The Nationals were struggling against our lineup, failing to score any runs by the middle of the game, leaving us with a nice 3-0 cushion.

Nationals Fight Back

Unfortunately, the Nationals fought back hard. In the 6th, Luis García Jr. put them on the board with a home run to center. Later, a series of unfortunate fielding errors and clutch hits allowed the Nationals to rally fiercely. A devastating homer by Nathaniel Lowe in the 9th put them ahead 6-5. 😟

Incredible Comeback!

Yet, we weren't done! In our half of the 9th, Alec Bohm kickstarted the comeback with a single. Then Bryson Stott, pinch-hitting for Edmundo Sosa, walked to add more pressure. With some smart base running and a clutch sacrifice fly from Rojas, we tied it up. Finally, thanks to a wild pitch, Stott dashed home, securing the victory for us 7-6! 🏆 What a thrilling victory! Go Phillies! ❤️🦅
