Victorious Nationals! Final Score: 5-3

What an exciting game for us Nationals fans! 🎉 The team showed grit and determination, securing a well-deserved win against the Pittsburgh Pirates, with a final score of 5-3.

Early Lead

In the top of the 2nd inning, we got on the board first thanks to a powerful homer by Dylan Crews to left center (404 feet). That solo shot set the tone for the rest of the game. 💥

Building Momentum

Heading into the 4th inning, Luis García Jr. managed to score on a passed ball, extending our lead to 2-0. Trust Crews to come up big again in the 6th inning with a clutch double to left, bringing Jose Tena home and pushing our lead to 4-0. What a moment! 🏃‍♂️💨

Pirates Fight Back

Although our boys were rolling, the Pirates found a way to fight back in the 7th inning. Rowdy Tellez hit a 443-feet homer to right, bringing in Nick Gonzales and narrowing the gap to 4-2. Nerve-wracking moments ensued. 😬

Insurance Run

Fortunately, the Nationals weren't done. In the top of the 9th inning, CJ Abrams hit a critical sacrifice fly to center, allowing Crews to score. That insurance run brought our lead to a comfortable 5-2. 🛡️

Closing It Out

The bottom of the 9th was intense. The Pirates managed to score a run and load the bases; however, our closer Kyle Finnegan stepped up when it mattered most. Bryan De La Cruz grounded into a game-ending double play, securing our victory. Phew! 🚫

Final Thoughts

A thrilling game and a fantastic win for our Nationals! Our hitters and pitchers played a solid game, and we held strong despite the Pirates' late surge. 🌟 Let's carry this momentum forward into the next game, Nats fans!

GO NATS! 🚀❤️⚾
