Tough Day for the Nationals Offense
Well, Nats fans, we faced the San Francisco Giants today, and it was not a fun game to witness.
In the top of the first, we started off with James Wood, CJ Abrams, and Brady House, but all three were quickly neutralized by the Giants’ defense. We had some opportunities, with Josh Bell getting on base in the 5th and our first hit coming from James Wood in the 4th inning, but nothing materialized.

Pitching Struggles & Giants' Power Plays
The Giants were relentless from the start with a home run by Rafael Devers in the bottom of the first inning, putting them up 1-0 quite early. Our ace had a tough time today as the opposition continued to capitalize on our pitching woes. In the 6th inning, after a critical error, Casey Schmitt added a two-run homer, stretching the Giants' lead further.

The bullpen tried their best - even bringing in Ribalta and Ogasawara - but the Giants' bats were just too potent, adding an extra run in the 8th inning, closing it out at 5-0.
Bright Spots & Looking Forward
Even though the scoreline wasn't in our favor, there were a few positives to take away. Hassell III had a nice single to center in the 5th, and Millas showed resilience with his infield single. Also, let’s not forget Josh Bell’s walk, showing good plate discipline despite the circumstances.
All in all, a bumpy ride in San Francisco, but we'll be back stronger! Let’s regroup and support our team in the next game. HANG IN THERE, NATS FANS!
