Mariners Jump to an Early Lead

What a way to kick off the game! Right from the first inning, the Mariners made sure that their presence was felt. J.P. Crawford started us off with a single to left. Then, our boy Julio Rodríguez delivered a monstrous homer to left center, scoring Crawford. 🎆 But wait, there's more! Cal Raleigh stepped up and blasted another homer, bringing us to a solid 3-0 lead. What an explosive start! 🙌 The Nationals, meanwhile, struggled to get anything going, managing only a homer in the fourth inning.

Dominance in the Middle Innings

The Nationals managed to put one run on the board in the 4th inning thanks to Wood's homer, but our defense—and pitching—was thoroughly dominant. By the 5th inning, Cal Raleigh did it again with another homer, sealing the deal on any hope for a Nationals comeback. 👏 The Mariners were rock solid through the 6th, with Dylan Moore adding to the scoreboard with a double and then eventually scoring on a series of smart plays and a couple of wild pitches from the Nationals. The Mariners increased their lead to 7-1 by the end of the sixth.

Wrapping It Up with Precision

The 8th inning was another highlight reel as Ben Williamson and J.P. Crawford set the stage with some quality at-bats. Randy Arozarena then cracked a key fielder's choice toward the end, pushing the score to 9-1, courtesy of a throwing error by the Nationals' GarcĂa Jr. The final inning was nothing but a quick mop-up as Miguel Bazardo handled the Nationals without giving them an inch.

It was a game of pure magic for Mariners fans! 🎉 Consistent from the start and relentless till the end. Way to go, Mariners! Let's keep this momentum rolling! Go, Mariners! ⚾💙
