Tough Day in Seattle
Hey fellow Mariners fans!

Defense and Missed Opportunities
J.P. Crawford and Jorge Polanco both went 0-for-4 at the top of the lineup, and Julio RodrÃguez was unable to get anything going either. Miles Mastrobuoni managed to hit a single, but was unfortunately caught stealing. On the defensive side, a throwing error by Rowdy Tellez put us in a tight spot in the 3rd.
Nationals on Fire
Despite the best efforts from our pitchers, we couldn't contain the Nationals' lineup. Luis GarcÃa Jr. got things going with a 404-foot homer in the 2nd inning, and Josh Bell followed up with his own homer. James Wood also added to the scoreboard with a massive 435-foot homer in the 5th. The Nationals just kept piling on with key hits and runs through the innings.
Holding Out Hope
It's games like these that make us appreciate the wins even more, and it’s just one day in a long season. I believe in our team, and can’t wait to see Randy Arozarena, Cal Raleigh, and the rest of the guys warming up those bats in the next matchups. Keep the faith Mariners fans, exciting games are ahead!

Let's keep rooting for our team, and go M’s!
