Offense Explodes in the 10th! 🚀

What a game, Nats fans! The Washington Nationals secured a thrilling 9-3 victory over the Seattle Mariners, thanks to a stunning performance in extra innings. After a tight and tense first nine innings, our boys took control in the 10th inning, showcasing their tenacity and skill.

Strong Start, Better Finish

While the game started off quietly with both teams struggling to get on the board, the Nationals finally found their stride. In the top of the 6th, James Wood broke the silence, driving in CJ Abrams and Jose Tena with a double to left, giving us a 2-0 lead. However, the Mariners quickly responded to tie it up in the 7th inning. It wasn't until the 10th that the Nationals' bats truly caught fire! 🧨 Daylen Lile delivered a crucial sacrifice fly, scoring Tena and giving us back the lead. Luis Garcia Jr. followed with a vital two-run double, and then Josh Bell capped off the inning with a monstrous three-run homer to right field, making the score 9-2!

Lights Out Pitching and Defense

Kudos to our pitching staff for keeping the Mariners in check throughout the game. Despite a couple of shaky moments, our bullpen stepped up when it mattered. Gore, López, Henry, Ferrer, and Finnegan worked in unison to hold Seattle to just three runs. The defense was on point, with key plays throughout the game, including crucial strikeouts and a double play in the final inning to wrap things up.

Sweet Victory

This win demonstrates the resilience and capability of our Nationals, especially in high-pressure situations. Hats off to Josh Bell for his stellar homer, and let's not forget the fantastic work by Luis Garcia Jr., who contributed both offensively and defensively today. Onward to more victories, Nats fans! This is just the beginning! 💪⚾
