What an exciting game for our beloved St. Louis Cardinals as they took on the Washington Nationals and secured a commanding 8-1 victory! From the first inning, the Cards made clear their intention to dominate this match. Key Moments in the Game
The action began early, with Brendan Donovan and Masyn Winn hitting strong, setting the pace with Alec Burleson driving in the first run. By the third inning, Donovan crossed home again thanks to another solid hit by Burleson. The 6th inning was a bombardment, starting with a thrilling hit by Lars Nootbaar that nudged Willson Contreras closer to home. Nolan Arenado and Yohel Pozo were unstoppable, bringing the score to 5-0 before a sacrifice fly by Donovan and a sweet double by Winn pushed it further to 7-0. A powerful homer from Contreras in the 7th placed the cherry on top for an 8-0 lead.
