Cubs Triumph in a Thriller Against Diamondbacks
What an incredible game of baseball at Wrigley Field! It was a rollercoaster of emotions as our beloved Chicago Cubs secured a dramatic 13-11 victory against the Arizona Diamondbacks. This game had it all: home runs, errors, and unbelievable comebacks. Here's the play-by-play of the most exhilarating game I've seen this season.

Early Lead with a Solid Start
The game started with a low-scoring nail-biter. Carson Kelly hit a whopping 409-foot homer in the bottom of the 2nd inning, bringing Pete Crow-Armstrong home to give the Cubs a 2-0 lead. Our pitchers looked dominant, with Carroll and Perdomo striking out in rapid succession to keep the Diamondbacks at bay!Seventh-Inning Surge
We held the Diamondbacks at just 1 run into the 7th inning. Then, our Cubs offense started to roll: Ian Happ launched a clutch grand slam, followed by Busch's timely single to bring in Kyle Tucker, extending our lead to a comfortable 7-1.
Diamondbacks Roar Back, But Cubs Say "No!"
However, the Diamondbacks didn't go down without a fight. They surged ahead 11-7 in the top of the 8th, thanks largely to a massive homerun from Eugenio Suárez, and errors didn't help our cause either. But the Cubs showed resiliency. Our own Carson Kelly and Kyle Tucker fired back, hitting 2 crucial home runs in the bottom of the 8th to reclaim the lead 13-11 - and Seiya Suzuki added a solo shot for good measure!

Closing and Celebrating
Despite hitting a bump in the road during the 8th, our bullpen held strong. Ryan Pressly sealed the deal in the top of the 9th, securing the groundouts we needed to end the game victoriously. Heart-racing doesn't even begin to describe it!
After an intense evening, the atmosphere at Wrigley was electric, with fans celebrating what feels like more than just a win. It's a sign of just how gripping and unpredictable baseball can be. Let's keep this momentum going, Cubs!
