A Wild Ride in Chicago
What a game! Our Arizona Diamondbacks went head-to-head with the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field, and despite a valiant effort, we fell just short with a final score of 11-13. This was a rollercoaster from start to finish, with our bats heating up in the later innings.
A Nail-Biter Comeback
After a slow start, we found ourselves trailing 7-1 in the 7th inning. But the Diamondbacks didn't back down! Eugenio Suárez gave us a massive boost with a towering grand slam that brought us to a 7-5 game. Things got even more exciting with Randal Grichuk and Lourdes Gurriel Jr. delivering crucial hits to put us ahead 11-7 in a thrilling 8th inning rally.
️Falling Short in the End
The Cubs clawed back in the bottom of the 8th with a barrage of home runs, ultimately sealing their victory. Despite Alek Thomas adding a late double in the 9th, we just couldn't mount another comeback. Kudos to our team for their relentless fight and making this a game to remember!
