A Tough Loss in the Mile High City

Fellow Diamondbacks fans, it was a nail-biting matchup against the Rockies in what turned out to be an exhilarating, albeit heart-wrenching game for us. The Rockies took this one 4-3, despite a valiant effort from our boys. Let me take you through the highs and lows. ⚾

Slow Start but Signs of Life

We started off a bit slow as Geraldo Perdomo, Ketel Marte, and Corbin Carroll couldn't get us on base in the first inning. Unfortunately, Rockies’ Hunter Goodman put them on the board early with a massive 449-foot homer to center. But have faith, D-Backs nation, because we saw sparks of hope in the 4th inning! After Carroll's single and Lourdes Gurriel Jr.’s double, Jake McCarthy brought Carroll home. Then Tyler Locklear did his part to even up the score at 2-2.

Fighting Till the End

The Rockies regained the lead swiftly, but we never backed down. McCarthy was phenomenal tonight, contributing another run in the 6th inning after Marte was patiently waiting on base. Kudos to the bullpen for keeping it close as Luis Frias, Edwin Uceta, and Carlos Vargas shut down the Rockies in the late innings. However, it was a tense showdown in the 9th inning when Adrian Del Castillo came up to bat as a pinch hitter. Unfortunately, despite our relentless effort, we couldn't rally, striking out with hopes barely swinging. 🐍

To add, Jake McCarthy was definitely our star this evening, his determination and hustle injecting life into our offense.

Chins Up, Diamondbacks Fans!

Even in the face of defeat, let's remember the spirit and heart of this team. Sometimes you're up, and sometimes you're down, but the love for the game and the team remains evergreen. Keep your heads up, and let's get ready to support our D-Backs in the next game! We'll get 'em next time! 🌵❤️
