Tough Day at the Bay for the D-backs
Hey fellow D-backs fans,
A Promising Start
The game started off on a hopeful note for us. After Ketel Marte and Corbin Carroll made their outs, Lourdes Gurriel Jr. doubled to left, setting the stage for Christian Walker to bring him home with a single to right. Our boys were up 1-0, and optimism was in the air!

Giants Respond Quickly
The Giants didn't let that early lead sit for long. Jung Hoo Lee answered back with a solo homer in the bottom of the first, and they snatched another run to take the lead. It felt like a stomach punch after our bright start.A Glimmer of Hope in the 4th
Our boys showed their grit in the fourth inning. After Eugenio Suárez got hit by a pitch, Blaze Alexander doubled to center, bringing Suárez home and tying the game. Kevin Newman then singled to center, scoring Alexander and briefly giving us hope as we clawed back to a 3-3 tie. That's the Diamondbacks spirit we love!

The Turning Point
But, baseball can be cruel, and the Giants took control of the game in the 5th. With Patrick Bailey sending a two-run homer out of the park, the momentum shifted significantly. Our boys tried to rally, but the Giants’ bullpen kept our bats quiet for the remainder of the game.A Tough Loss to Swallow
Closing out the 9th inning was tough to watch. Pavin Smith and Joc Pederson, who stepped in as pinch hitters, alongside Blaze Alexander, all went down swinging. Final score, Giants win 7-3.
Looking Ahead
Despite the loss, it's crucial to focus on the positives and know that our D-backs have the resilience to bounce back. Let's keep our spirits high and look forward to the next game.
