Pitchers Dominate Early Innings
In the first half of the game, both teams fought hard with absolutely sublime pitching performances. Jurickson Profar, Matt Olson, and Austin Riley from the Braves could not get past our pitchers in the first inning while our first hit came through Gavin Lux with a single. The game's first half went scoreless as both defenses stayed formidable. Our pitching proved key, striking out the Braves’ big hitters several times — something for the highlight reel for sure!Benson’s Dazzling Homer
So happy for Will Benson! The Reds lit up Great American Ball Park in the 7th inning when Benson hit a magnificent two-run homer, driving Spencer Steer home and giving us a solid 3-0 lead. Those clutch moments of joy are ones we live for as Reds fans! Our boy Matt McLain also contributed by scoring on a nifty single in the 6th inning, sending chills through the crowd as it broke the scoreless deadlock!Nail-Biting Finish
The Braves tried making a comeback in the 9th inning, picking up two runs. But no worries Reds faithful, our team held strong. Emilio Pagán closed with determination to secure the 3-2 victory. Big up to our relievers for keeping calm and shutting the door on the Braves’ efforts.
A great win for us and one to savor! Keep the faith, Reds fans — this season is looking up! Let’s continue this momentum!
