Game Recap: Tough Night for the Braves
Well, Braves fans, it was a tough day for us against the Mets, falling 5-13 in New York. Despite getting an early start with Jurickson Profar scoring on a groundout by Drake Baldwin in the first inning, the momentum quickly shifted to the Mets. In the top of the 4th inning, the Braves made a significant comeback. Michael Harris II and Ozzie Albies got on base, followed by Vidal Bruján walking. Nacho Alvarez Jr. delivered a two-run double, leveling the score. Matt Olson doubled too, bringing in Alvarez Jr., which tied the game at 5-5 — but, sadly, that wasn't enough to hold them back.
Mets' Bats on Fire
The Mets were relentless in their response. Francisco Alvarez and Brett Baty both hit solo home runs, while Brandon Nimmo and Pete Alonso added homers of their own. By the middle of the game, Alonso's shot in the 3rd inning gave the Mets the lead at 5-1 and they never looked back. Notably, Alonso and Alvarez combined for some spectacular hitting, helping the Mets consistently increase their lead.

What Went Wrong?
It wasn't the best performance from our pitching staff either. After we tied the game, a big three-run homer from Nimmo put the Mets up 8-5 yet again in the 4th inning. After that, the Braves seemed unable to prevent the Mets from chipping away and extending their lead. Ozzie Albies and Michael Harris II tried to spark some offense with singles, but we couldn't capitalize when it mattered most in the later innings. On the positive side, the Braves never gave up, maintaining pressure and battling each inning. We'll shake this one off and look to build back the next game! Let’s go, Braves!
