Tough Start for the Braves
The game started with high hopes for the Braves but unfortunately, our bats couldn’t get going early. In the top of the 1st inning, both Michael Harris II and Austin Riley struck out swinging, and Marcell Ozuna popped out to second. Meanwhile, the Rays took an early lead with Yandy DĂaz's solo homer and a couple of misplays on our end allowed them to increase their lead to 2-0 by the end of the inning.Struggles Continue But Hope Emerges in the 6th
The early innings didn’t favor our Braves. By the end of the 5th, we were still trailing 4-0, unable to crack through the Rays' pitching. But come the 6th inning, we saw a glimmer of hope as Nick Allen got hit by a pitch, setting up some chaos on the bases. Ozzie Albies' single and Matt Olson's heroic efforts got us 3 runs closer, putting the score at 4-3. The fight was there, but we needed more to overtake the lead.Tough Ending but We Fought Hard
After the Rays extended their lead to 8-3 in the bottom of the 6th with some crucial hits, our Braves encountered some pitching difficulties despite De Los Santos' best efforts. Entering the final innings, the Rays' bullpen proved tough to crack with our players being struck out time and again. We couldn't muster a comeback despite Ozzie Albies getting on base in the 9th. Though it was a challenging game, we showed moments of great play. Keep fighting, Braves! On to the next one!
