Tough Loss for the Braves
Hey Braves fans!
Missed Opportunities in the Early Innings
The start of the game was quite uneventful for both teams, with neither side managing to score in the first two innings. Ronald Acuña Jr. and Matt Olson struggled to find their stride early on, and a critical strikeout by Jurickson Profar left Austin Riley stranded after his promising single in the first.Bright Spots in the Game
The 6th inning brought some much-needed excitement when Drake Baldwin blasted a mammoth 405-foot home run to right field, scoring Jurickson Profar and reducing the deficit to just one run.
Outstanding Performance by Orioles
The Orioles' Jordan Westburg and Cedric Mullins were the thorns in our side today. Westburg's solo homer in the 3rd and Mullins' two-run shot in the 5th gave Baltimore the edge. The Braves’ bullpen did manage to hold the Orioles scoreless after the 5th inning, but our bats just couldn't capitalize on those efforts.
Up Next
We may have stumbled tonight, but we're still in the race! Let's keep the support strong for the next game, Braves Country!
