Orioles Start Strong with Solid Pitching and Defense
Hello, fellow Orioles fans! What a brilliant game for our Birds as we dismantled the Tampa Bay Rays with ease, winning 5-1! Our pitchers put on a clinic, while our defense backed them up smartly. We didn't exactly start the game with fireworks, as Jackson Holliday, Adley Rutschman, and Gunnar Henderson were quickly retired in the top of the first inning. However, the Rays were equally oppressed by our defense, with a fantastic double play in the bottom of the first, shutting out any potential rally. Our Offense Comes Alive
In the top of the second inning, Jordan Westburg got it going for us with a leadoff double. Ramon Laureano then came through with an infield single scoring Westburg to put the Orioles on the board first. The Rays managed to tie it up in the bottom of the fourth, but then our offense really took off. Colton Cowser hit a bomb to right center in the fifth inning, a real sweet sight to see him drive it 405 feet!

Closing It Out with Style
Fast forward to the top of the ninth with a comfortable 4-1 lead, Dylan Carlson led off with another single, showing some smart base running by stealing second. Holliday drove him in with a single to center, which finished off the scoring for our beloved Orioles. It was an all-round disciplined performance from our pitching staff, with Felix Bautista closing it out in stellar fashion by retiring the side in the bottom of the ninth. Overall, an impressive 5-1 victory! Let's savor this win and continue cheering for our Birds as they move forward in the season.
