Miguel Vargas and Nick Maton were making contact but couldn't find the gaps, while the pitching efforts held the Red Sox in check. In the bottom of the 6th inning, following a walk by Vargas, Luis Robert Jr. crushed a two-run homer into the right-center stands, leveling the score at 2-2 and electrifying the crowd.
