Disappointing End in Los Angeles
Hello, Red Sox Nation. We started off hot against the Angels with an early 2-0 lead in the first inning. Thanks to a fielding error that allowed Jarren Duran to reach first base and Romy González's clever single, we were in scoring position pretty quickly. Trevor Story delivered a crucial single to bring in both Duran and González.
The Angels' Comeback
As we proceeded into the 4th inning, the angels retaliated with solo homers by Jo Adell and Travis d'Arnaud, evening the score 2-2. In the 5th inning, they pulled ahead further scoring two more runs thanks to Jo Adell and Travis d'Arnaud once again. It looked a bit bleak for us, and the Angels continued their ascendancy in the 6th, with Trout contributing to their run tally.
We Tried to Fight Back
Despite our players giving it their all, we couldn't find more success at the plate. By the 7th inning, the Angels maintained their lead at 5-2. We had some opportunities with Roman Anthony drawing a walk in the 8th—but sadly, it didn't result in more runs. As we headed into the top of the 9th, our boys tried to rally, but Carlos Narváez and Wilyer Abreu succumbed to strikeouts. Trevor Story flied out to end the game. Tough break, but keep your heads up fans! There's always the next game! Let's keep cheering for our Sox!
