Diamondbacks Start Strong But Fall Short
Hey D-backs fans, though we put up a good fight, the Cubs managed to outscore us in what turned out to be a challenging game. It all started with some promising energy when Ketel Marte doubled in the first inning followed by a solid RBI single by Josh Naylor, putting us on the board early. But the Cubs quickly retaliated in the second inning, putting up a string of runs that set us back.Suárez Brings Some Power
What a highlight! Eugenio Suárez gave us something to cheer about with a magnificent home run to left center in the second inning, cutting the Cubs’ lead.
His blast surely lifted our spirits, if only for a fleeting moment. There were also some good batting efforts from Gabriel Moreno, who kept rallied for us until the end with hits and walks.Ninth-Inning Rally Attempt
We witnessed some hustle in the bottom of the 9th, with Geraldo Perdomo, Ketel Marte, and Corbin Carroll trying to rally the team. A run was scored, thanks to Lourdes Gurriel Jr. grounding out to bring Marte in. However, even with these late efforts, the Cubs ultimately sealed their victory 10-6.Conclusion
