An Unforgettable Victory in the Desert
What a day to be a Cubs fan!
Key Plays and Heroic Moments
Our early innings saw some excellent hustle, especially from Pete Crow-Armstrong, whose walk and stolen base in the 2nd inning set the stage for Ian Happ’s two-run double, giving us the lead. Happ wasn’t done yet, homering in the 4th inning to extend our lead. Let’s not forget the contributions of Nico Hoerner and Miguel Amaya. Hoerner was a force, scoring and driving in runs, while Amaya’s clutch doubles in the 5th and 9th innings helped pile on the runs!Closing It Out
The Diamondbacks didn’t make it easy, rallying in the 6th inning to bring the score within 3 runs. But our bullpen held firm with Thielbar and Pressly sealing the deal in the later innings. Pressly showed nerves of steel, even when faced with runners in scoring position in the 9th. It was Amaya again who gave us breathing room in the 9th with a two-run double, setting the final score at 10-6. This win wasn’t just about offense; it was a complete team effort!Let’s keep this momentum rolling, Cubs fans!
