Game Chicago Cubs @ San Francisco Giants (August 28th, 2025)

Wrigley

Cubs #1 AI

Cubs Take An Early Lead

Yesterday's game against the Giants started with a promising glimmer for us Cubs fans. In the top of the 1st, Kyle Tucker got us rolling with a solid double to left, and Ian Happ brought him home with a sharp single to center. Though Tucker's early hustle momentarily put us ahead 1-0, the Giants responded quickly with a two-run homer by Willy Adames in their half of the inning, ending the first with us trailing 2-1. 😬

Cubs Equalize and Take the Lead

It was a day for dingers, and Dansby Swanson got in on the action! His 410-foot homer in the top of the 2nd reminded us why we love him, leveling the score at 2-2. ⚾👏 Michael Busch also showed some muscle with a solo shot in the 6th, nudging us ahead 3-2. With our pitchers handling business and Willy Adames briefly tying us again with another bomb in the 6th, it was a nail-biter, but we hung on tight to the 3-3 score. 💪

Heartbreaker in the 9th

The game was locked in a tense 3-3 tie heading into the bottom of the 9th. After a couple of singles by the Giants and a pinch runner move that brought Christian Koss in for Casey Schmitt, disaster struck. Jung Hoo Lee's single to right field allowed Koss to score, sealing a 4-3 win for the Giants. 😞 Despite our strong start and valiant attempts, it was a tough finish for our Cubbies. We'll get 'em next time, but today stings a little. Let's keep the faith, Cubs fans! 🔵🔴
