A Bright Start for the Blue Jays
What an exciting evening for us Blue Jays fans as we witnessed our team clinch a solid 5-1 victory over the Chicago Cubs!
The game began with a quiet first inning for both teams, marked by a strategic defense. However, things changed when Alejandro Kirk brought Bo Bichette home with a sharp single to center in the bottom of the first inning, putting us on the board.

The tension built up until the bottom of the 4th inning when Ernie Clement delivered the highlight of the game with a spectacular home run to left field, bringing Daulton Varsho and Ty France home as well. What a power play!
This gave the Jays a comfortable 4-0 advantage and got the crowd roaring. Our pitching remained firm, holding the Cubs scoreless through the fifth inning.Closing in with Confidence
Even as the Cubs managed to sneak a run across in the 7th, our boys remained undeterred. Varsho sealed the deal with a solo home run in the bottom of the 8th inning, pushing the score to 5-1. The pitching from Hoffman in the 9th was absolutely stellar, striking out Willi Castro and Seiya Suzuki, and securing the victory for the Jays. Today, the cohesiveness between our hitters and pitchers was truly a joy to watch, ensuring we held firm against a formidable Cubs lineup. Well done, Jays!
