A Rough Start for Our Cubs
Hey Cubs fans!Trouble on the Mound
The White Sox retaliated quickly. In the top of the 2nd, Sam Antonacci homered, bringing Derek Hill home and launching the Sox into a 3-1 lead. Peters adding a single for another run saw the score sitting at 4-1. A flurry of pitching changes couldn’t settle the storm either. By the time the dust settled in the 4th, the Sox had a commanding 6-1 lead.Cubs Miss Opportunities
Meanwhile, our guys had trouble getting runners home. Despite a few promising starts with Miguel Amaya walking and Chas McCormick singling early on, it was a day marked by missed chances and stranded runners. The Sox kept control and tightened their grip through the innings, leaving us with no more runs after that inspiring homer from Suzuki.Looking Ahead
It was a tough loss, Cubs family! But there’s still a lot of baseball left to be played. Let’s keep cheering our boys on and motivate them for the next outing. Onwards and upwards, GO CUBBIES!Scoreboard for White Sox @ Cubs (February 20th, 2026)
