An Exciting Win on the Road
What a game by our Chicago White Sox!
Early Sparks but No Fireworks
In the opening innings, Mike Tauchman got things rolling with a single to left, but unfortunately, he was erased in a double play. Our pitching matched their intensity, stifling the Rockies as well. A standout performance from our defense kept things even after five innings, with both sides struggling to break through. That is until we managed to capitalize on a catcher's interference in the top of the fourth and with a clutch single from Michael A. Taylor, bringing home Andrew Benintendi and Miguel Vargas.
A Rocky Surge
The fifth inning saw some nervous moments when the Rockies leveled the score at 2-2. A throwing error by Josh Rojas allowed them to get back in the game, but our guys showed resilience, tightening up the defense to snuff out any further advances.Heroics from the Plate
In the top of the sixth, Edgar Quero crushed a 401-foot homer, reclaiming our lead and the eventual game-winning run.

Holding the Fort
A special hats-off to G. Taylor who came in to slam the door shut in the ninth inning. His strikeouts and steady demeanor served as the perfect closer for this tight matchup, ensuring that Mickey Moniak's single was the closest the Rockies would get to mounting a comeback.Today's game was a testament to our team's determination and a great contribution from both our bats and gloves. A hard-earned win like this feels sweet, especially when it comes on the road. Go White Sox!
