A Strong Start From the White Sox
Opening the 1st inning with dominance, the White Sox set the tone immediately.
Chase Meidroth doubled to kick things off, followed by Austin Slater drawing a walk. After Edgar Quero lined out, Miguel Vargas stepped up huge, cracking a 411-foot homer to center field, driving in three runs! 
And just when the Pirates thought the storm was calming down, Mike Tauchman hit another homer to right, extending our lead to a solid 4-0. Already, it felt like our game to lose!Maintaining the Lead
The 2nd inning saw the Pirates put a run on the board thanks to Nick Gonzales, but our boys in white kept their cool. In the 4th inning, Luis Robert Jr. showcased his speed by singling and stealing his way around the bases, scoring off Colson Montgomery's single. Then in the 5th, Tauchman came through again with a double, bringing both Quero and Vargas home. By the middle of the inning, we commanded a 7-1 advantage.
Focused Defense and a Sweet Victory
The latter innings showcased the White Sox defense as we kept the Pirates in check. It was thrilling to see our pitchers strike out batters like nobody’s business — Gonzales and Cruz were kept guessing all game long. Although Andrew McCutchen doubled in the 9th and scored, it was too little too late for the Pirates. The final whistle blew, and the scoreboard read 7-2 in favor of our White Sox. A fantastic win that showed the team's grit and breathtaking offensive power. Way to go, Sox!
