Tough Day for the Tigers: 11-1 Loss to Reds
Well, fellow Tigers fans, it wasn't the outcome we were hoping for today against the Cincinnati Reds. The game ended with a final score of 11-1 in favor of the visiting Reds.
A Decent Start
The first three innings gave us a glimpse of hope as the score remained 0-0. Our pitchers were keeping the Reds at bay. Parker Meadows and Gleyber Torres made some solid attempts at the plate, but unfortunately, we couldn't get on the board. The top of the 4th was where things started to unravel, with Elly De La Cruz hitting a solo homer to put the Reds up 1-0.Reds Pull Away
In the bottom of the 4th inning, Wenceel Pérez finally got us on the scoreboard, tying the game after a single that sent Riley Greene home!
A Silent Finish
Despite a few scattered hits and some nice efforts, including a ground rule double by Colt Keith in the 6th inning, we couldn't muster up much else. The Reds' pitching effectively silenced our lineup, leaving us with a lopsided ending. It was not our night, but let's keep our heads up, Tigers fans!
