Tough Battle at Home 
Our beloved Miami Marlins took on the Cincinnati Reds, and what a game it was! 
We started strong, showing great promise in the first inning. After a quick run from Gavin Lux put the Reds up on the board, Eric Wagaman and Matt Mervis stepped up and delivered big for us. Wagaman's double and Mervis’s towering homer to right center gave us the lead we were dreaming of! 
Heart of the Game 
The team put in a valiant effort to maintain that momentum but faced some challenges along the way. Austin Wynns hit a solo shot to left in the third, leveling the game at 2-2. 
The Reds’ aggressive baserunning in the 5th inning put them ahead, as Jake Fraley and Spencer Steer turned a steal and a single into another run. Despite Otto Lopez and Liam Hicks giving it their all, we couldn't quite catch up during the middle innings. The crowd was on their feet, rallying behind the Fish as we tried to find more offense. 
Late Game Drama 
In the later innings, it was all about keeping the energy high. We had opportunities with Graham Pauley and Liam Hicks finding ways on base, but unfortunately, we couldn’t capitalize as Ronny Simon and the others couldn't bring in the runs we needed. The Reds widened their lead in the 8th and 9th, with the scoreboard finalizing at 5-2. 
Though the Fish faced a tough loss tonight, there’s always the next game! Let’s keep our heads up, Marlins fans. With such a dedicated defense and glimpses of power, I'm sure there’s more excitement to come!
