Game Overview
Ah, the highs and lows of being a Cleveland Guardians fan! The Guardians fell to the Baltimore Orioles 6-2 in what was an action-packed game. Things were looking promising as we took a brief lead with a couple of early homers
but the Orioles shut us down with some power plays of their own, leading to a victory for Baltimore.Guardians Take the Lead
The 3rd inning was a highlight for us! Daniel Schneemann started us off with a stunning 395-foot homer to center that tied the game up! Then, Austin Hedges stepped up and followed with a 394-foot homer to left, putting us in the lead at 2-1.
Orioles' Response
In the bottom of the 3rd, however, the Orioles came back strong. Ryan O'Hearn hit a three-run homer that turned the tide in their favor. And let's not forget the 6th inning, when Heston Kjerstad hammered a 400-foot shot that put us further behind.
Final Push
In the 9th inning, Carlos Santana tried to spark a rally with a single, and Gabriel Arias followed up with a steal. But it was too little, too late against the Orioles' closing prowess. The final score saw them atop with a 6-2 win. Onward to the next game, Guardians fans—our time will come!
