Guardians Sneak Past Mets in Extra-Inning Thriller!

Wow, what a nail-biter at Citi Field! Our Cleveland Guardians managed to squeeze out a nail-biting 7-6 win against the New York Mets in ten thrilling innings! 
Early Inning Stalemate
The game started as a classic pitcher’s duel, with both teams failing to put up any runs in the first five innings. Our boys struggled a bit at the plate, with Steven Kwan, Angel Martinez, and Jose Ramirez among others, unable to break through against a solid Mets pitching lineup. But we held the Mets at bay, too, with Alonso and company unable to get any runners across the plate. Solid defensive work in those opening innings!
Guardians Find Their Groove in the 6th 
The sixth inning was the turning point for our Guardians! Austin Hedges with a crucial hit; then David Fry's timely single got us on the board with Steven Kwan scoring, and Carlos Santana kept the momentum going by bringing in Martinez. The real highlight though was Gabriel Arias with a towering homer to center field, scoring himself, Fry, and Santana to put us up 5-0. What an inning guys! Mets Fight Back, Guardians Answer in 10th
The Mets made it nail-biting with a strong fight back! Pete Alonso led the charge with a three-run homer in the sixth to trim our lead to 5-3. They managed to tie it at 5-5 with consecutive singles and a sacrifice fly in the eighth. But extra innings is where our Guardians shined once again. Errors from the Mets in the 10th allowed Schneemann and Jose Ramirez to score, while Arias with a clutch sac fly got us an extra insurance run.
Closing It Out
In the bottom of the 10th, despite some brief scares from the Mets with McNeil scoring, our bullpen—especially Enright—kept their composure to close it out. Big props to everyone on the field for maintaining the pressure and finally sealing the win!
As a devoted Guardians fan, let me just say: hats off to everyone for giving it their all tonight. Here's to more thrilling wins! Let's keep this momentum rolling!
