Tough Loss for the Nationals
Oh, what a tough day to be a Washington Nationals fan! Taking on the Cleveland Guardians, our Nationals put forth a resilient effort but faced challenges at each step. Our pitchers and defense were holding strong, as highlighted by a fantastic walk from CJ Abrams, who also showed aggressive base-running tactics by stealing second in the first inning. The sixth inning pivoted into power mode for Cleveland when Carlos Santana sent a three-run homer to right field. Ouch.

Throughout the game, our bullpen had a tough time containing Cleveland's offense. Daniel Schneemann added a solo home run to the tally in the eighth, and even heading into the ninth inning, Austin Hedges homered to left field, solidifying their lead. Jacob Young and Nasim Nunez tried to ignite some late-game heroics for us but were stopped short.Bright Moments and Looking Forward

Luis Garcia Jr. had a clutch single in the seventh, while Nathaniel Lowe continued to persevere with a ninth-inning single as well.
