Tough Loss in Miami

Hey, Marlins fans! 🐠 Last night's game against the Rockies was a nail-biter, but unfortunately, we came up just short, losing 3-2. Our guys showed some good energy early on, thanks to solid hits from Jesus Sanchez and Kyle Stowers. After Nick Fortes and Javier Sanoja earned walks, Jesus Sanchez drove in the first run of the game, bringing Fortes home. Stowers followed up with a single of his own to drive in another run, putting us up 2-0 in the third inning! ⚾

Rockies Rally Back

Our lead held until the fifth inning when the Rockies started to claw back. Jordan Beck and Tyler Freeman managed to get on base, setting up Thairo Estrada to bring Freeman home with a sacrifice fly. The Rockies tied it 2-2 by the end of the fifth. But the Marlins didn't give up without a fight. Stowers had another single in the sixth, but we couldn’t capitalize further.

Heartbreak in the Eighth

A tough break in the eighth inning when Hunter Goodman hit a solo homer, pushing the Rockies into the lead at 3-2. Despite our efforts in the ninth inning, we couldn't get past the Rockies' pitcher Halvorsen who closed it out. Our pinch hitters Liam Hicks, Connor Norby, and Heriberto Hernandez all made attempts, but it just wasn't our night.

Chin up, Marlins—you gave it your all, and we'll get them next time! Let's continue to show up and support our team! 💪🐠
