A Rocky Start for the Brewers
The Milwaukee Brewers had us on the edge of our seats right from the first inning against the Rockies. It was a shaky start, as the Rockies jumped ahead 2-0 thanks to some crucial singles and a sacrifice fly. But like any true fan knows, the Brewers are never one to back down!Brewers Turn the Tables in the 2nd!
In the bottom of the 2nd, the magic began! Jake Bauers got on base with a walk, advanced on a wild pitch, and then it happened – David Hamilton launched a 431-foot homer to right center, bringing both Bauers and Brandon Lockridge, who also walked, home. Suddenly, the Brewers were up 3-2! It got even better when Joey Ortiz reached on an infield single, thanks to a Rockies' error, allowing Sal Frelick to reach third, and then score on that same play. The 5th inning added to the excitement. Joey Ortiz hit a home run, and then Jake Bauers hit a double allowing Christian Yelich to score, making it 6-2. And by the way, Brandon Lockridge dashed any Rockies' hope with a solo homer in the 8th to make it 8-3! The Rockies managed one more run in the 9th, but it was too late for a comeback.Brewers' Victory!
With an ending score of 8-4, our boys in blue showed resilience and grit on the field. From David Hamilton's heroic homer to Lockridge's big hit, the Brewers brought their A-game.
