Tense Start with a Strong Finish!
Fellow Tigers fans, it was an exhilarating game against the Cleveland Guardians, and we came out on top with a 7-2 victory!
The first few innings were a back-and-forth battle with no runs on the board. Despite the Guardians’ efforts, our pitching and defense kept them at bay through six innings. Nail-Biting Ninth
Things got heated in the eighth as the Guardians managed to scratch a run across, which edged them ahead 1-0. But fear not, because in the ninth inning, we experienced some thrilling baseball action! Spencer Torkelson smartly got on base with a hit by pitch, then Zach McKinstry stole second and managed to score on a wild pitch, leveling the score at 1-1. This sent the game into extra innings.
Tigers' Ten-Inning Triumph
The top of the 10th was nothing short of magical!
Our offense came roaring to life with clutch hits. Javier Báez started it off with a single, paving the way for the heroic Trey Sweeney to blast a three-run homer, bringing the score to 4-1. 
Gleyber Torres and Matt Vierling followed with a show of strategic base running and hits, leading to an explosive moment with Riley Greene hitting a two-run bomb to seal the deal at 7-1. 
Despite Cleveland managing a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 10th, our solid defense closed out the game with their second and final run. The Tigers brought the roar to the Guardians, and it was a thrilling game filled with intense moments that ended in our favor. Onwards and upwards, Tigers!
