Tough Night in Houston

Well, Astros fans, it was a night filled with ups and downs, but unfortunately, our boys couldn't pull it off against the Detroit Tigers. The game started off with a bang as Jeremy Peña homered to left-center in the first inning, putting the Astros on the scoreboard first. That 373-foot beauty got us all excited! ⚾🔥

A Rough Middle Stretch

However, the Tigers responded swiftly, with Riley Greene and Colt Keith combining efforts to bring the score to 2-1 in the top of the 2nd inning. Things got a bit rocky in the 3rd when the Tigers' Javier Báez hit a grand slam, stretching their lead to 7-1.

Our guys tried to fight back in the bottom of the 5th. Jose Altuve doubled, scoring Jake Meyers and Peña, closing the gap to 7-3. Then, in the 7th inning, Victor Caratini added another run with a solo homer, bringing us to 7-4. It felt like momentum was on our side! 🚀💪

Final Push Falls Short

Despite our bullpen holding it together in the late innings and the offense getting runners in promising positions, we just couldn't conquer the Tigers' lead. A valiant effort was made in the 8th and 9th innings, but the Tigers' pitchers managed to hold us down, sealing a 7-4 victory for them.

Take heart, Astros fans! We're disappointed tonight, but tomorrow brings a new opportunity and a fresh start for our team. Let's keep supporting our players, and as always, go Astros! 🌟⚾
