A Tough Day at American Family Field
Well, Brewers fans, it wasn't the outcome we hoped for as the Detroit Tigers took a commanding 9-1 victory over our beloved Brew Crew.
In the top of the 1st inning, the Tigers came out swinging. After a walk to Gleyber Torres, Andy Ibáñez doubled to bring home the first run of the game. It was followed by a Dillon Dingler double, making it 2-0 before we could catch our breath. Our boys couldn't quite respond, with Jackson Chourio, Isaac Collins, and William Contreras being retired in order.
Struggles at the Plate
The second inning saw the Tigers continue to pile on with two more runs. By the time the fourth inning rolled around, the Tigers had built a seemingly insurmountable 8-0 lead. Kerry Carpenter delivered a powerful blow in the fifth with a homer to center field, stretching the lead to 9-0. We struggled to get hits against their relentless pitching, stringing together occasional singles but ultimately failing to bring runners home until the very end.
Searching for the Silver Linings
Rhys Hoskins provided a glimmer of hope in the bottom of the 9th by getting on base with a hit-by-pitch, followed by a Sal Frelick walk. At last, Joey Ortiz singled to bring home Hoskins, putting us on the board, even if it was a little too late.
Yes, the Tigers were a tough matchup today, but we have faith in our Brewers team to bounce back and keep fighting.

Onward to the next game, fans! Go Brewers!
