Our beloved Detroit Tigers went head-to-head against the Seattle Mariners in a game that had us on the edge of our seats. The game started off quietly, with both teams struggling to make significant headway. Riley Greene gave us some hope with a ground-rule double in the top of the first, but we couldn't capitalize, leaving us scoreless. With the score still tight, the 9th inning brought intense drama. Colt Keith and Justyn-Henry Malloy worked in some crucial walks. Dillon Dingler, pinch-hitting, came out of nowhere with a single to load the bases, giving the Tigers a real chance to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. But unfortunately, it wasn't meant to be. Javier Báez grounded into a fielder's choice, and McKinstry's strikeout ended our hopeful rally.Though the result didn't swing in our favor, our Detroit Tigers put on a performance filled with determination and showed glimpses of brilliance.
