A Tough Battle in Seattle
What a nail-biter tonight, Tigers fans! Our boys traveled to Seattle to face off against the Mariners in a game that kept us on the edge of our seats until the very end. Although the Tigers put up a strong fight, alas, it wasn't quite enough to outlast the Mariners, who slipped by with a narrow 3-2 victory.
A Slow Start
The game started slowly for the Tigers offensively, with Gleyber Torres and Kerry Carpenter unable to capitalize despite Kerry's early walk in the first inning. The Mariners also struggled to get on base, as our pitching successfully kept their hitters at bay through the first three innings.
Polanco's Homers and Tigers' Response
Things took a turn in the fourth inning when Jorge Polanco's solo home run put Seattle ahead 1-0. A similar scenario unfolded in the sixth inning, with Polanco homering again, bringing the Mariners' score to 2-0. However, the Tigers showed resilience; in the top of the eighth, Spencer Torkelson's clutch double drove in Riley Greene and Gleyber Torres, tying the game at 2-2 and igniting hopes for our Tigers.

The Heartbreaker
Unfortunately, the Mariners managed to regain the lead in the bottom of the eighth inning when Julio Rodríguez doubled, allowing Cal Raleigh to score. Despite our Tigers' valiant efforts, their rally was cut short, and Mariners' pitcher Andrés Muñoz closed the game in the ninth. Zach McKinstry, Javier Báez, and Parker Meadows couldn't quite break through Muñoz's pitching.
Final Thoughts
It was a hard-fought game by our Tigers today, and the grit and determination shown on the field make us proud to stand by our team. We may have fallen short this time, but there's always another game, and we know the Tigers will come roaring back. Onward and upward, Tigers fans—let's show some love and support for our team!

We've got this! Until next time, go Tigers!
