A Rocky Start, but Redemption Shines Bright for the Astros
Our beloved Astros stumbled a bit out of the gate in the Windy City, trailing early on as the White Sox jumped to a 3-0 lead in the first inning. The opening frame was a little rocky after Jake Meyers committed a fielding error. But the game is long, and our boys didn't take that lying down! In the top of the third inning, Jake Meyers got us back on track, launching a solo homer to left, traveling a crisp 386 feet! That marked the beginning of our comeback.

Meyers' Magic and the Astros' Rally
The Astros tied the game up in the 4th inning thanks to Jake Meyers again being a hero with a clutch triple that brought home Yainer Diaz and Brendan Rodgers. Throughout the game, Meyers proved to be a steady force at the plate, sparking a pivotal rally in the 6th inning with an electrifying three-run homer - this time sending the ball 409 feet into the seats!
The bats stayed hot in the 8th inning when Victor Caratini and Zach Dezenzo hit back-to-back doubles in left field, further extending our lead. Jake Meyers edged our score to 8 with another double to center, as the Astros surged ahead and sealed the lead.
Holding Firm: Astros' Pitching and Defense
Our bullpen, featuring King and Abreu, held the White Sox scoreless after the 1st inning, locking things down to keep them from capitalizing further on their early lead. VanWey came in during the final inning, steering us safely to victory! The Astros finished strong with a convincing 8-3 win, wrapping up the game securely with both offense and defense firing on all cylinders. Way to go, Astros!
