Explosive Start by the Astros
The Houston Astros had an electrifying start in the first inning, with José Altuve hitting a massive homer to left field that brought Jesús Sánchez home. This early 2-0 lead set the tone for the game. The Marlins couldn’t respond in the bottom of the first, with Xavier Edwards, Agustin Ramirez, and Kyle Stowers being shut down swiftly. That Altuve magic really sparked our boys!
Middle Innings March Onward
In the following innings, Yainer Díaz stood out with a breathtaking 405-foot homer in the 5th inning, bringing home Carlos Correa and Christian Walker and extending our lead to 7-1. The Astros' bats were on fire, with Jeremy Peña making a key triple in the 4th inning to add two more runs. Our pitching staff did a superb job too, stymying the Marlins hitters and keeping them largely silent with only the occasional breakthrough. Astros Close With Conviction
Despite a couple of solo homers by Jakob Marsee and Eric Wagaman, our defense held firm. Chas McCormick joined the outfield later in the game, fortifying our already solid defense. As the game closed, the Astros showcased their depth and focus, with Josh Hader wrapping up the game with strong pitching. A well-earned victory for Houston, sealing a 7-3 win! Victories like this one highlight the resilience and firepower of our beloved Astros. Way to go, team!
