A Tough Day for the Astros at the Plate
Well, fellow Astros fans, yesterday's game against the Milwaukee Brewers was not the result we were hoping for. It started with our guys holding their ground but ended in a 5-1 setback. The bats were pretty silent for most of the night, which can be quite frustrating to watch
Early Innings Highlight Defensive Battles
In the first three innings, it looked like it might be a pitching duel with both teams keeping the score at 0-0. Jeremy Peña got a leadoff single in the first, but we couldn’t capitalize as José Altuve grounded into a fielder's choice, and Christian Walker struck out swinging
Mid to Late Innings Struggles
Despite some flashes, like Isaac Paredes's single and José Altuve's double in the sixth that eventually led to him scoring on an error, the Brewers' pitching just didn’t give our guys much to work with. Our bullpen was largely effective, holding the Brewers scoreless for several innings after that rocky third inning. However, the eighth inning saw the Brewers tack on two more runs, making it a four-run difference we just couldn’t overcome. Let's tip our hats to the Brewers; they played well, but we know our Astros have the grit to come back stronger in the next series
Even though it wasn't the result we wanted, let's keep our chins up and look forward to the next game. This team has shown resilience time and again and is capable of bouncing back big!
